Free Wine Tasting - California Wine Weekend Part 1 - Friday, February 16th

Friday, February 16th from 4-7pm – Join us for Part 1 of our California Wine Weekend this Friday at Table Wine! It’s the best free wine tasting in Asheville, and you’re invited. Just stop by any time between 4-7pm — no RSVP required and we’ve got plenty of free parking.

Many of you know I just got back from the California wine country earlier this week. It was a wonderful trip, and I’m excited to share my love of this region’s wines with you. The many wine regions of California have experienced a string of strong vintages. Rich, ripe, and stylish wines have come as a result of the warm, dry, and sunny conditions. You’ll see! Just stop by, taste, learn, and save big on the featured tasting wines. And be sure to stop back by tomorrow between 2-5pm to taste a trio of Epic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons!

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle! To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of business on Friday, February 16th.

Can’t make it, but want to take advantage of the savings? Just use the contact form below to place your order, and I’ll contact you when it’s ready for pick-up.

1. 2014 Foxglove Chardonnay (Central Coast, California) – A perennial critic’s pick as top California Chardonnay value, the 2014 version from brothers Jim and Bob Varner is sensational. Fermented in stainless steel, with malolactic fermentation blocked, ” the 2014 Chardonnay packs a serious punch for the money. Bright, juicy and exuberant, the Foxglove Chardonnay will thrill readers looking for a budget-priced Chardonnay.” – Vinous Media – 90 points

2. 2016 Wyatt Pinot Noir (Various Regions, California) – The new vintage of Wyatt’s Pinot Noir is just as good as the 2015 was. Put together by NYC-based importer/wholesaler Doug Polaner with wines from some top California producers, it is rich and ripe with lovely notes of bing cherry, strawberry, spice, and just a kiss of oak.

3. 2013 The Paring Red Blend (Santa Ynez Valley, California) – The Paring is the entry-level wine from the same team that makes Jonata, Screaming Eagle, and The Hilt. The 2013 Red Blend is strong again — a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot, it is a lot of wine for the money. “Black cherry, mocha, black olives, spices, lavender and sage hit the palate in the 2013. This is an especially serious, structured wine for the money.” – Antonio Galloni – 90 points
