Pietra Santa Wine Tasting

The Wines of Pietra Santa Winery

Join us this Saturday, January 24th between 2 and 5 p.m. for a free wine tasting featuring the wines of Pietra Santa Winery. Our good friend Brian Bouressa of Mutual Distributing will join us to pour these award winning wines, including our Wine of the Week, the 2009 Pietra Santa Sangiovese. This small, family owned and operated winery is located in the Cinega Valley of Calfiornia’s Central Coast, just 25 miles inland from Monterey Bay. All of their wines offer tremendous QPR, and we’re excited to share three of our favorites with you for this Saturday tasting.

Even better, if you like to save money on wine, you’re in luck! All of the wines you’ll get to try are on sale at 10% off when you buy a bottle, 15% off when mix any 6-11 tasting wines, or a whopping 20% off when you mix 12 or more tasting wines. Taste, learn, and save every week-end at Table Wine.

The Wines
Prices range from $14 to $16

1. 2012 Pietra Santa Pinot Noir – Just over 1,000 cases of Pietra Santa’s Pinot Noir were produced in the 2012 vintage. These grapes come from some of the Blackburn family’s highest vineyards at 1,100 feet in elevation. Aged for 10 months in French oak, it is a beauty offering up aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, strawberry, earth and spice. At less than $20 a bottle, it’s a steal!

2. 2009 Pietra Santa Sangiovese – This one is our Wine of the Week, and it’s a guaranteed winner and an incredible value as well! To read more about it, just click here.

3. 2010 Pietra Santa Zinfandel – Pietra Santa’s Zinfandel vines are some of the oldest on the estate, dating back to 1905. They age the wine in French oak for 24 months, and the oak really works here to enhance the flavor of the wine as opposed to overwhelming it. The resulting wine is rich, ripe, and packed with juicy, jammy berry fruit, peppery spice, and light toast.
