The wine is a blend of organically grown, old vine Grenache Blanc (90%), Viognier (5%) and Roussanne (5%). Fermented in stainless and aged on its fine lees for 6 months, it's a sensational bottle of white wine. Robert Parker scored this one at 93 points, and his review is very telling. “I know some readers will find it hard to believe, but the 2011 Nostre Pais Blanc’s aromas and rich, honeyed, full-bodied texture reminded me of the famous white Chateauneuf du Pape made by Chateau Beaucastel, which sells for three or more times the price.”
That is a bold statement made by none other than Robert Parker who went on to award the wine a 93 point score! We agree with his assessment of the wine. It is a full bodied, exotic and intensely aromatic white wine with a lovely core of white peach, quince and pineapple fruit. As the wine sits in the glass for a few minutes, more floral, honeysuckle and dried honey notes emerge. With wonderful texture and body and plenty of intensity, this is our pick for joyful, cooler weather white wine drinking.
