SOLD OUT! The Talbott family’s entry into the wine business began in 1982, when they planted their first vineyards to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

For the next 12 years, Talbott established itself as one of the premiere small estate producers in California’s Central Coast. The family made a huge leap forward in 1994, when they purchased the legendary Sleepy Hollow Vineyard, located in Monterey’s Santa Lucia Highlands.

2010 Talbott Pinot Noir "Sleepy Hollow Vineyard"

Classic Central Coast Pinot Noir at a Great Price!

SOLD OUT

Today, Sleepy Hollow’s River Road block is home to the winery’s state-of-the-art winemaking facility. The estate is skillfully led by owner Robb Talbott and renowned winemaker Dan Karlsen. The focus has always been on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and that remains the case today. These estate wines have gained a reputation for their lushness, grace and great aging potential, and they have become benchmarks of quality on the Central Coast.

Don’t tell anyone, but this wine sells for $40 on the winery’s website! A blend of old-vine (planted in 1972) Martini clone and Dijon clone grapes, the wine is barrel aged 11 months in French Oak, 20% of which is new. Rich and lush in texture, the wine boasts concentrated aromas and flavors of bing cherry, raspberry and red plum along with subtle, complex nuances of vanilla, brown spice and earth.
