With spring upon us in Asheville, we’re excited to announce our next wine and food exploration to take place at the store on Thursday, April 18. If you’ve never been to one of these unique events, we transform Table Wine from a retail wine store into a classroom/dining room of sorts. There’s tables and chairs and we serve you a five course, small plate tasting menu and each course is paired with a wine. It’s a great opportunity to experience and understand the way that wine and food can work together to create a harmonious and complete flavor experience.

For this one, we’re going to pair northern Italian wines with some full flavored vegetarian cuisine. Trust us though, this will not be a bunch of nuts and berries! Les used to own and chef at his own northern Italian themed restaurant just outside of Washington, D.C. and he knows how to create bold flavors with or without meat. Add to the mix his wife Barb who is a trained chocolatier and pastry chef, and you’ve got the perfect team to pull this off. Trust us, you won’t leave hungry! We can only take 24 for these seated, intimate and educational affairs and RSVP/Pre-Pay are required please. Call us at 828.505.8588 to reserve your seat. 3. Savory Bread Pudding
Goat cheese, gruyere and veggies
Paired with Dicapo Barbera d’Asti

4. Wild Mushroom Pasta
In truffle cream sauce
Paired with G.D. Vajra Barolo Albe

5. Caprese Dolce
Flourless chocolate/almond cake
Paired with La Giaretta Amarone “I Quadretti”
