Try Three for Free Wine Tasting - Mediterranean Wines

Try Three For Free Wine Tasting this Saturday, January 30th from 2:00 to 5:00 featuring some easy drinking Mediterranean wines – The vine has been cultivated for centuries in countries that border the Mediterranean. The warm and sunny climate of the Mediterranean provides perfect conditions for the cultivation of a number of grapes, and the resulting wines tend to share some similarities. These are bold, spicy, herb accented wines that mimic the flavors of the surrounding landscape, and they represent some of the best wine values in the world. We’ll focus on Mediterranean wines of Southern France and Italy for this tasting and you are invited to stop by, taste, learn and save up to 20% off on some of our favorites.

All of the featured tasting wines are on sale the day of the tasting: take 10% off if you mix any 3, 15% off if you mix any 6, or 20% off if you mix any 12.

The Wines

1. 2014 Belle Provencale Vin Blanc (Cotes du Luberon, France) – Belle Provencale is the entry level line of wines from the Perrin family of Chateau Beaucastel fame. This simple white from the sunny vineyards of Southern France is a blend of Vermentino, Ugni Blanc and Grenache Blanc all fermented in tank. Fresh, bright, light and easy drinking, this is a great white to enjoy for all occasions.

2. 2013 Vallevo Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (Abruzzo, Italy) – Cantina Frentana is a cooperative of close to 100 growers and their wines are consistently delicious and great values. Their Montepulciano is full of Italian heart and soul with earthy dark cherry, light spice, and medium tannin and acidity. It is the quintessential wine to enjoy with pizza or pasta with red sauce. It also a certified organic wine!

3. 2014 Chateau Teulon Costieres de Nimes Rouge (Southern Rhone, France) – This is your chance to try our new Case of the Month selection for free, and we highly recommend that you stop by and do so. From an old family owned and operated estate in the southernmost part of France’s Rhone Valley, this tank fermented blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre is pure and rich with pepper and herb accented berry fruit and mild tannin. Yum!
