Try Three for Free Wine Tasting - Great European Wine Values

Saturday, September 2nd from 2-5pm – Make this Saturday special with a free wine tasting featuring a trio of great European wine values. It’s the best free wine tasting in Asheville, and we’d love to see you!

I am seriously pumped about this tasting! All three of the wines we’re pouring retail for less than $15, but they sure as heck don’t taste like bargain wines. Nope, these extreme value wines “punch way above their respective weight classes.” Don’t believe me? Stop by and taste them for yourself! We’ll start with Le Grand St. Vincent Touraine Blanc, a lovely little crisp and crunchy Sauvignon Blanc from France’s Loire Valley region. After that, it’s the bright and sunny Domaine Vetriccie Ile de Beaute Blanc from Corsica……this one is a real palate pleaser and perfect for drinking with or without food. To finish, the Marchetti Rosso Conero is our new Case of the Month and it’s one of the top Italian red wine values in the store! Mainly Montepulciano with a splash of Sangiovese, it is rich, plump, full bodied and a perfect wine for pizza, lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs. Hungry and/or thirsty yet? Stop by, taste, learn, and save big on all of the featured tasting wines!

1. 2016 Le Grand St. Vincent Touraine Blanc (Loire Valley, France) – Like Sancerre, but hate paying the price? Here’s the solution! 100% stainless steel fermented Sauvignon Blanc from the Middle Loire, this is just classic, brisk, and refreshing white wine that flows with bright citrus, herb and mineral notes.

2. 2016 Domaine Vetriccie Ile de Beaute Blanc (Corsica, France) – This stainless steel fermented blend of Chardonnay and Vermentino literally smells like a sunny day. Bursting with fresh apple, peach, citrus, honeysuckle and gentle spice notes, this will perk up your day in no time. Easy drinking, uncomplicated, clean and fresh, this is just silly good!

3. 2015 Marchetti Rosso Conero “Castro di San Silvestro” (Marche, Italy) – It’s our new Case of the Month and it’s an insane value in real-deal, honest and authentic Italian red wine. The Marchetti family have been making Montepulciano for over 100 years and they have pretty much perfected it. Their Rosso Conero is 90% Montepulciano and 10% Sangiovese that sees just a bit of oak aging. The resulting wine is dark, rich, plump and pleasure-bent with lovely note of ripe blueberry, plum, fig and spice.
