Saturday, March 11th from 2-5pm – Join us (directions here) for a free wine tasting featuring a trio big Italian reds! Trust us, if you are a fan of full bodied, full flavored Italian reds, you don’t want to miss this one!
From north to south and from east to west, Italy is home to some of the world’s greatest red wines. We’re excited to share some of our favorites with you this Saturday! Up first, we’ll pour you the stunning Toscana Rosso from Podere Il Palazzino, one of the great estates in Chianti. This is a wine that Antonio Galloni of Vinous Media called “one of the best wines readers will find in its price range.” Sound good? It is! Up next, we’re pouring a Cannonau (aka Grenache) from Sardinia from Antonio Sanguineti. Be warned — we are down to the last few cases of this one and it’s drinking really well right now. To finish, we’ll pour you a splash of a perfectly aged Super Tuscan from Montepeloso, one of the all-stars of coastal Tuscany. All you have to do is stop by, taste, learn and save big on all of the tasting wines. Just do it!
Can’t make it by, but want to place an order? Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

1. 2014 Podere il Palazzino Rosso di Palazzino (Tuscany, Italy) – As we said, Antonio Galloni described this wine as “one of the best wines readers will find in its price range,” and we agree 100% with him on that. Basically a really, really, really good Chianti Classico without the price tag, this Sangiovese-based wine from one of the top estates in the region is incredible for the price. Words don’t do it justice………get some in your glass and let the wine do the talking!
Tasting Price: $15.29 on mixed 3-packs | $14.44 on mixed 6-packs | $13.59 on mixed cases
2. 2014 Antonio Sanguineti Cannonau di Sardegna (Sardinia, Italy) – This has been a top seller at the store for 2 years running! 100% Cannonau (aka Grenache) from the island of Sardinia, it’s rich, supple, and packed with flavors of ripe berries, spices, and just a hint of damp earth.
Tasting Price: $15.29/bottle | $14.44 in mixed six packs | $13.59 in mixed cases
3. 2012 Montepeloso A Quo (Tuscany, Italy) – Proprietor Fabio Chiarelotto farms a variety of grapes/vines in Suvereto, one of the warmest micro-climates of Tuscany’s coastal Maremma zone. His wines are powerful, but also full of finesse and charm, and that is definitely the case with his 2012 A Quo. A blockbuster blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Montepulciano, 20% Sangiovese, 10% Marcellan, and 10% Alicante Bouschet, it is one of the best Super Tuscan values out there. Drink now through 2025.
Tasting Price: $22.49 in mixed 3-packs | $21.24 in mixed six packs | $19.99 in mixed cases
