Taste the Wines of Bratcher Winery

Wednesday, April 23rd from 4 to 7 p.m. — Free to the Public — We invite you to stop by any time between 4 and 7 p.m. next Wednesday, April 23rd to sample the wines of Bratcher Winery.  I met Chris Bratcher about eight years ago when we were both on an importer-funded trip to Argentina and Chile.  He had just opened a wine shop in Chattanooga, and I spoke to him about my dream of opening my own wine shop.

Fast forward to September of 2013 when some guy named Chris Bratcher asked if he could stop by and taste me on his small production wines.  I wasn’t really looking to pick up anything new, but I agreed to let him stop by. As we talked and tasted, I not only loved his wines but I sensed that I knew this guy; when he mentioned he owned a wine shop in Chattanooga, the connection became crystal clear.  Small world huh?

These days, Chris splits his time between his wine shop and his winery in Lompoc, just outside of Santa Barbara.  He makes a total of about 800 cases of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the various AVA’s of Santa Barbara, and he makes them incredibly well.  This is a labor of love for Chris, and he only releases his wines when he feels they’re “ready”; while most producers are currently releasing their 2012’s, Chris is just now releasing his 2010’s.  This focus on quality over quantity and rushed production is the philosophy we look for in all of our producers at Table Wine.  Stop by, meet Chris, taste his wines, and I guarantee you’ll be impressed.  We’ll be offering all of Chris’s wines at 15% off if you mix any six or 20% off if you mix any twelve.
