Table Wine Special Selections - Come Get High With Us

Table Wine Special Selections - Come Get High With Us

Thursday, April 17th from 7 to 9 p.m. — $25/person…..$20 for Grape Nuts — The best way to taste wine is in a comfortable, seated environment with proper glassware, an educated host, and an interested audience. That’s exactly what “Table Wine Special Selections” is all about! We roll our mobile wine racks back, bring out tables and chairs, and set them with nice, large tasting glasses. We pour you eight different wines (2 oz. of each) and you get to taste them in a more leisurely, contemplative manner. We also provide ample bread and cheese for palate cleansing. And to top it all off, we offer the wines in the tasting at 20% off if you mix six or a whopping 25% off if you mix a case.
This is going to be a fun and educational night of tasting and talking about wines grown at higher elevations. Most wine producers agree that as you go up in altitude, temperatures get cooler, the air gets drier, and the soil gets less rich and more rocky. All of these factors have a dramatic effect on the flavor and style of the finished wine, and that’s what we’re going to discuss and and discover, via tasting of course, for our next seated tasting in the Table Wine Classroom. We’ll be talking about and tasting a total of 8 wines, so make sure to bring your tasting shoes!

The Table Wine Classroom.

I’d like to give you more of a lesson here on how altitude effects the “attitude” of a wine, but I’m going to save that for the night of the tasting. As with all of our seated tastings, bread and cheese will be available for you to cleanse your palate, but it’s always a good idea to have a little something to eat before you get here. We’ll get started promptly at 7:00, so please plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early so you can get some palate cleansers and find your seats. All wines in the tasting will be offered at “severe” pre-sale discounts, so this is a great chance to stock up on some incredible wines.

To reserve your spot, please call us at 828.505.8588 or email us to pre-pay. If you email us, please include a telephone number where we can reach you to confirm your reservation. Last but not least, due to our advanced planning needs for these types of tastings, we are only able to offer refunds for cancellations made within 48 hours of the tasting.
