Join us this Saturday for a fabulous wine tasting featuring 5 of our favorite “Grill-Mates.” These are wines that taste great with everything from grilled chicken and chops to zucchini and eggplant. But they’re also totally enjoyable while you’re tending the grill! Stop by, taste, learn and save big on all of the tasting wines this Saturday.

All of the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day only.

1. 2018 Massone Gavi ‘Masera’ (Piemonte, Italy) – Stefano Massone makes beautiful Gavi, one of the classic white wines of the Piemonte. Flowing with crisp and vibrant apple, melon, and pear notes, this refreshing white wine works well with grilled vegetables, fish, and seafood. It’s also might refreshing to sip on while you’re cooking.

2. 2019 De Wetshof Chardonnay ‘Limestone Hill’ (Robertson, South Africa) – De Wetshof makes some of South Africa’s finest Chardonnays, and this is their entry point wine. As the name implies, this is Chardonnay grown in limestone, which allows this wine to showcase prime varietal character. With rich, but fresh notes of yellow apple, white peach, and lemon custard, this is ideal to enjoy with scallops, lobster, and other rich seafood preparations.

3. 2018 Barnard Griffin Rosé of Sangiovese (Columbia Valley, Washington) – Sunny summer days, cookouts and dry rosé are made for each other, and it doesn’t get much better than this. Barnard Griffin’s dry pink wine has taken home more awards than any other produced in our country, and the new vintage is as good as ever. Dry, tangy and vibrant, this one provides maximum palate pleasure. Enjoy with grilled asparagus, zucchini, and other fresh, light fare.

4. 2016 Le Grange de Piaugier Cotes du Rhone (Rhone Valley, France) – Cotes du Rhones like this one are our #1 pick for anything off the grill. This one is mainly Grenache, with smaller portions of Syrah and Mourvedre. It offers up a lovely fruit profile of dark raspberry, baked plum, and cherry supported by spicy/herbal notes of lavender, licorice, and black pepper. Enjoy this spicy little number with grilled lamb chops, heavily peppered steak, or other sturdy grilled meats.

5. 2017 Grayson Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon (Various Regions, California) – Find us a better domestic Cab for the money. You’ll fail! The fine folks at Napa’s Grayson Cellars source fruit from top growers throughout the state to create this friendly, attractive Cab that sells for a song. Rich, full bodied and oaky, this wine offers up loads of ripe and opulent fruit complimented by oak notes of vanilla, maple, and coconut. Enjoy it with your favorite steak.
