Free on Fridays Wine Tasting at Table Wine

Red, White and Rose Wine Tasting

Free on Fridays Wine Tasting this Friday, April 22nd from 4-7 p.m. – We’ve got all bases covered this week with our free Red, White, and Rose Wine Tasting! Get your weekend off to a good start with the best free wine tasting in Asheville at Table Wine! This week, it’s all new arrivals of wines that are perfect for the warm and sunny spring weather. We’ll start with the new release of the Borealis from Oregon’s Montinore Estate. This deliciously aromatic white field blend is one of the best “session wines” we’ve ever tasted, and we’ll follow that up with the new vintage of the always good Ostatu Rosado from Rioja. Last, but not least, we’ll pour you the incredibly pure and elegant Barbera from Dacapo, one of our favorite small producers of Italy’s Piemonte zone. Stop by, taste, learn and save up to 20% off on all of the tasting wines.

All of the featured tasting wines are on sale the day of the tasting: take 10% off if you mix any 3, 15% off if you mix any 6, or 20% off if you mix any 12.

The Wines

1. 2014 Montinore Estate Borealis White Blend (Willamette Valley, Oregon) – Oregon’s Montinore Estate is the largest organic wine producer in the United States, and this is one of their most popular wines. An enchanting blend of Gewurztraminer, Muller Thurgau, Pinot Gris and Riesling, it is almost dry and packed with lovely aromas and flavors of fresh peach, citrus, jasmine and honeysuckle. Buy 2 bottles — you’ll thank us later!

2. 2015 Ostatu Rosado (Rioja, Spain) – This is a perennial customer and staff favorite from one of our favorite Rioja producers. The 2015 is again delicious! A blend of 70% Tempranillo and 30% Garnacha from some of the estate’s oldest and highest elevation vineyards, it is fermented in stainless steel and bottled soon after. Tart, crisp and laced with lime, white cherry, strawberry and floral notes, this is super refreshing and ideally served with a nice chill.

3. 2013 Dacapo Babera d’Asti “Sanbastian” (Piemonte, Italy) – Wine industry veterans Paolo Dania and Dino Riccomagno started this winery in 1997 with the goal of making organic wines with finesse, authenticity, and elegance. We say they’ve succeeded. Their Barbera possesses all of those traits and more. Silky, soft and pretty, it glides across the palate with glorious notes of red fruits, mellow earth and mild tannin and acid structure. This is an ideal red for the warmer months.
