New Zealand Wine – Beyond Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m. — $25/person…..$20 for Grape Nuts — With nice stemware, an educated “teacher,” and an interested audience, this promises to be a fun and memorable night exploring the “other” New Zealand wines. For years, the country has enjoyed a well deserved reputation for great Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, but they do other grapes incredibly well too, and they do Sauvignon Blanc well in other regions too.  From world class Chardonnay and aromatic Pinot Gris (many predict this will be the next big thing) to elegant Pinot Noir and structured Red Blends and Syrah, this is a country whose wines deserve your recognition and attention.
