The cost of the tasting is $10/person or $8 if you’re a Grape Nut and includes a taste of 7 different wines, bread and cheese.

We’ll sample seven of these bigger than life wines and you’ll need to cleanse your palate in between tastes, so we’ll have plenty of bread and cheese for you as well.This will be a pre-sale tasting – you get to try all of these wines and if you like them, you can order them at a 20% discount for pick up on Friday. 1. 2011 Verdelho “The Violinist” – You may not have known it, but Sarah and Sparky do make a white wine. It’s a big, creamy-rich verdelho with notes of warm apple, white pepper and fresh cut hay. 90 points – Wine Advocate
2. 2010 Shiraz/Cab/Merlot “Two Left Feet” – This is a great introduction to the Mollydooker style of wine – big, lush, ripe and jammy with a ton of stuff going on. This would not work with fish…………trust me! 90 points – Wine Advocate
3. 2010 Shiraz “The Boxer” – Like wines that make your teeth and the inside of your mouth purple? You’ll love this blueberry bomb then! Smooth, but overtly ripe and creamy textured, this is not for the faint of heart. 91 points – Wine Advocate
4. 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon “Maitre d'” – This might be the most restrained of the wines, but it ain’t shy to say the least. Chocolate coverd berries, warm spice and meat juices can all be found in this delicious red wine. 90 points – Wine Advocate
5. 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon “Gigglepot” – This is basically their Reserve Cab, made with fruit from older vines and aged longer in oak. It is delicious now, but should drink well through 2020. 92 points – Wine Advocate
6. 2010 Shiraz “Blue Eyed Boy” – This should be called “Big Ol’ Boy”, because it is gonna’ give your palate a workout. Abundant blueberry and cherry preserves, clove, Chinese 5 spice, mocha and cedar permeate this big red monster.
93 points – Wine Advocate
7. 2010 Shiraz “Carnival of Love”– We’ll end the tasting with what many consider to be one of the great red wines of Australia. From a single vineyard of substantial age, this one is aged entirely in American oak, 97% new. It will leave you wanting more of it, but remember, this is is a wine tasting, not a drinking! 95 points – Wine Advocate
