The Wines

1. 2014 Barnard Griffin Rose of Sangiovese (Columbia Valley,  Washington) – This is your chance to taste our Case of the Month for free!  Rob Griffin knows how to make really good dry rose as evidenced by his nine Gold Medals at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.  Richer, deeper hued, and abundant in red fruit aromas and flavors, this is dry rose for the red wine drinker.
Tasting Price: $11.69/bottle | $11.04 in mixed six packs | $10.39 in mixed cases
Special Case of the Month Price: $9.99/bottle when you buy a solid case — that’s over 20% off!

2. 2013 Caparzo Sangiovese di Toscana (Tuscany, Italy) – Caparzo makes stunning Brunello di Montalcinos, but they know that most of us “common folks” can’t afford to drink those with our daily meals.  Thus, they make this delightfully fresh and pure red just for those sorts of occasions.  Medium bodied, moderately rich, and laced with ripe cherry, raspberry, plum, and mint flavors and aromas, it makes a perfect companion to a Marco’s pizza.
Tasting Price: $10.79/bottle | $10.19 in mixed six packs | $9.59 in mixed cases

3. 2011 Tabarrini Montefalco Rosso (Umbria, Italy) – This is a whopper of a red wine from Umbria’s top red wine zone and one of the region’s top producers.  Mainly Sangiovese with small doses of Cabernet Sauvignon and the native Sagrantino, it sees some brief aging in oak (some older, some new) before it is bottled.  The resulting wine is full bodied, powerful, and almost lavish in style.  Lush cassis, spiced plum, raspberry, smoky oak and chocolate aromas and flavors abound in this fuller styled Sangiovese.
Tasting Price: $19.79/bottle | $18.69 in mixed six packs | $17.59 in mixed cases
