Great California Wine Deals - Free on Fridays Wine Tasting

Friday, September 22nd from 4-7pm – It’s not always easy to find great California wine deals, but we’ve managed! Stop by to try some of the best values the Golden State has to offer. The tasting is free, it’s fun, it’s informative, and you’re invited.

We’ve got a great lineup of California wines lined up for this Friday’s tasting, and we’ve got Muriel Edens of The Country Vintner joining us to pour them. Stop by to taste a trio of wines, all priced under $20, that are guaranteed to please the most picky of palates. We’ll start with the crisp and fruity Chenin Blanc/Viognier blend from Napa’s Pine Ridge Vineyards before moving into some fuller styled reds from Ancient Peaks, one of the Paso Robles’ top estates. All you have to do is stop by! Taste, learn, and save every Friday at Table Wine.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day! All sales must be tendered by the end of business on Friday unless other arrangements are made. Email us at josh@tablewineasheville.com with questions.

1. 2016 Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc/Viognier (Various Regions, California) – What started out as an experiment 20 years ago, this is now considered one of California’s top white wine values. 80% Chenin Blanc from the Clarksburg AVA with 20% Viognier from Lodi, all stainless steel fermented. Just off-dry, yet fresh, crisp and beautifully aromatic.

2. 2015 Ancient Peaks Zinfandel (Paso Robles, California) – This is just classic Paso Robles Zinfandel! Made with fruit from Ancient Peaks’ estate Margarita Vineyard, on the cooler west side of Paso Robles, this one captures the essence of Zinfandel. Aged 17 months in French and American oak, it offers up broad and plush flavors of brambly raspberry, dark cherry, spice and vanilla.

3. 2015 Ancient Peaks Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles, California) – The warm days and cool nights that are common on the west side of Paso Robles are ideal for rich, yet balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. This one lives up to that statement! Aged 16 months in French and American oak, this one shows off classic Cabernet notes of dark berry fruit, cedar, anise and spice box. Plush and smooth, it’s just as happy with a steak as it is without.
