Friday, October 12th from 4-7pm – Join us this Friday for our Fresh New Arrivals Wine Tasting. I’ve been buying, buying, buying, and I can’t wait to share some of my newest finds with you!
Asheville’s Best Free Wine Tasting – Just stop by – we’ve got plenty of free parking!
The premise for this tasting is simple. I’ve purchased a bunch of new wines in the past month, and I want you to taste them. You down with that? Cool! There’s a new, dry, and mineralic Muscadet to start. After that, it’s a ripe and fleshy Italian white that offers a ton of character and nuance for the price. And we’ll finish with a brand new, certified organic liter of Spanish Tempranillo. So whether you’re looking for good house wines or something to pair with your weekend meals, we’ve got you covered. Taste, learn, and save every Friday at Table Wine.
All of the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day only.
1. 2017 La Berriere Muscadet Cotes de Grandlieu Sur Lie (Loire Valley, France) – Don’t be confused by the name. This ain’t Moscato or Muscadine. It’s fresh, vibrant, and bone dry Muscadet from France’s Loire Valley. This one is composed of 60+ year old vine Melon de Bourgogne, and it offers up notes of green apple, lemon, fleur de sel, and mineral. With oyster season if full force, get this and eat oysters till you can’t eat any more.
2. 2016 Ancora Garganega (Delle Venezie, Italy) – Garganega is typically the headlining grape in Soave, and this one actually comes from younger vines at the eastern border of Soave Classico. Thus, it’s basically declassified Soave for less than $10! And it really tastes like Soave with fleshy pear, apple, peach and white floral notes. You won’t believe how good this is for the price.
3. 2017 Hand Work Tempranillo (La Mancha, Spain) – Talk about a great bargain. Made with certified organic Tempranillo grapes, with no sulfur added post-fermentation, this liter of juicy, easy-drinking red wine is phenomenal. Laced with fresh notes of dark cherry, raspberry, violet and a touch of spice, this one will have you coming back for glass after glass.
