I guarantee you this will be Asheville’s best free Saturday wine tasting. Join us to sample a trio of highly rated, limited production, California wines that will please all palates. We’ll start with a great, Central Coast Chardonnay value that just scored 90 points with both Vinous Media and Wine Enthusiast. After that, it’s a smoking-good Syrah from the fine folks at Limerick Lane and a sensational Santa Cruz Mountain Cab from Mount Eden. And last, but not least, all of the tasting wines will be on sale at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day. Taste, learn, save every Saturday at Table Wine.

All of the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day only.

1. 2016 Broadside Chardonnay “Wild Ferment” (Central Coast, California) – Here’s a seriously captivating and delicious Chardonnay from Brian and Stephy Terrizzi of Broadside Wines. Whole cluster pressed and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, it is aged on the lees in stainless steel and a bit of neutral oak. The resulting wine offers up notes of pear, nectarine, fennel and smoky, leesy nuances. Silky and open knit, with wonderful balance, it is one of the best domestic Chardonnay values out there.

2. 2014 Limerick Lane Syrah/Grenache (Russian River Valley, California) – It’s official — Limerick Lane, under the leadership of Jake Bilbro, has established itself as one of California’s top producers. And their 67% Syrah, 33% Grenache blend has really blossomed with time in the bottle. Just 580 cases were produced, and it tastes like a top-flight red from the Roussillon. Gorgeous notes of dark berries, olive tapenade, and Mediterranean herbs permeate this full-bodied, heady red.

3. 2015 Domaine Eden Cabernet Sauvignon (Santa Cruz Mountains, California) – Domaine Eden is the “second label” from legendary producer Mount Eden, and this Cabernet has garnered a cult following at Table Wine. For good reason too! The wine actually includes all 5 Bordeaux varieties, and it exudes tons of class and sophistication. With notes of briary currant, sage, mint, and integrated oak, it’s reminiscent of Left Bank Bordeaux with more supple and lush fruit.
