Free Wine Tasting - Guilty Pleasure Wines - Friday, March 16

Friday, March 16th from 4-7pm – Join us for a free wine tasting featuring some delicious Guilty Pleasure Wines. It’s Asheville’s best free wine tasting, and you’re invited! Just stop by — we’ve got plenty of free parking.

I love a juicy cheeseburger, a pepperoni pizza, and fried chicken and mashed potatoes. They’re not the most nutritious or gourmand of meals, but they’re delicious. I don’t eat stuff like that very often, but when I do, I truly enjoy it. That same premise applies to wine. Big, rich, creamy Chardonnay isn’t my go-to, but sometimes I crave it. The same goes for dry rose and jammy, plush reds — neither are favorites of mine, but occasionally, they bring me great satisfaction. Stop by, taste some of my favorite guilty pleasure wines, learn, and save every Friday at Table Wine.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day! To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of business on Friday, March 16th.

Can’t make it, but want to take advantage of the savings? Just call us at 828.505.8588 to place your order, and we can run your credit card over the phone.

1. 2016 Custard Cellars Chardonnay (North Coast, California) – Don Sebastiani says, “These grapes make a wine that reminds me of one of my favorite childhood indulgences‐Sunday morning glazed doughnuts with creamy custard filling.” He’s right! Though not sweet, this barrel fermented Chardonnay is rich, smooth, and creamy with lush notes of tropical fruits, vanilla, oak spice, and buttered citrus.

2. 2017 Cyprus Rose of Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley, California) – I was kind of lying when I said I didn’t like dry rose because I love it! But many still think all pink wines are sweet. Wrong! This one is completely dry and gorgeous with notes of ripe strawberry, cherry, citrus, and flowers.

3. 2015 Barbanera Nero di Troia (Puglia, Italy) – It’s our Case of the Month, and it’s a silly-good value in high quality, pleasure-bent, Southern Italian red wine. The grape is Nero di Troia, and it thrives in the warm and sunny conditions of Puglia. This one is ripe, round, plush, and jammy with full aromas and flavors of violet, plum, dark cherry, and spice. Enjoy with a glass or with your favorite comfort food.
