Free Wine Tasting - Back to the Basics - Friday, January 4

Friday, January 4th from 4-7pm – It’s our first free wine tasting of 2019, and we’re getting back to the basics. Join us to sample a trio of delicious, value-priced wines that won’t break the bank.

The holidays are a distant memory, and it’s time to hit the re-set button. It’s time to find some great values, the type that helped build Table Wine from a dream in 2010 to a store that employs four full-time employees in 2019. Sure, we’ve got plenty of premium wines, but don’t forget that we stock over 150 wines for $15 or less! Stop by this Friday to taste some of our favorite values, stock up, and save big!

Asheville’s Best Free Wine Tasting – Just stop by – we’ve got plenty of free parking!

Don’t forget, all the featured tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day.

1. 2017 Matchbook Chardonnay (Dunnigan Hills, California) – This is always a tremendous value in high quality, barrel fermented and aged, California Chardonnay. The 2017 is no exception! With notes of ripe tropical fruits, vanilla and cream, we call this one “Poor Person’s Rombauer.”

2. 2016 Barbanera Ser Passo Toscana Rosso (Tuscany, Italy) – This “Baby Super Tuscan” is primarily Sangiovese, with a bit of Cab and Merlot. Aged in French oak for 6 months, it offers up a ton of quality for the $$! Rich and full-bodied, but supple in texture, this Tuscan red offers up ripe notes of plum, dark cherry, cola, and toasty oak.

3. 2016 Paris Valley Road Founder’s Red Blend (Monterey County, California) – This family owned and operated domaine makes the best red blend value that we stock. From vineyards in the southern part of Monterey County, near Paso Robles, this one is a blend of 49% Zinfandel and 43% Petite Sirah, rounded out with a bit of Syrah and Merlot. Jammy, decadent, and pleasure-bent, this our value-priced answer to The Prisoner.
