The Wines

1. 2009 Man O War Chardonnay (Waiheke Island, New Zealand) – This wine has been blowing minds throughout the holiday season at the store, and we’re glad to give everyone an opportunity to taste this incredible wine. From New Zealand’s Waiheke Island, off the coast of Auckland in northern New Zealand, this is one of our top finds ever. It shows off complex notes of hazelnut, butterscotch, white truffle and golden fruit typically found in Chardonnays that cost $30+. Don’t miss your chance to try this incredible value!

2. 2014 Etude “Lyric” Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County, California) – Etude is one of California’s top names in Pinot Noir and Lyric is their entry level offering. Trust us, this doesn’t drink like an entry level wine!
Fuller bodied and packed with ripe red fruits, spice and gentle earth notes, this silky smooth Pinot Noir will make you forget about Meiomi.

3. 2013 Finca Villacreces Pruno (Ribera del Duero, Spain) – Famed wine writer Robert Parker named this one of his top values of 2015, and we’ve long been fans of this wine. From vineyards adjacent to Spain’s famed Vega Sicilia, the wine is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 12 months in French oak. “This wine, which offers up copious quantities, of blueberry, black raspberry and black currant fruit, licorice, graphite and meaty notes, offers fabulous aromatics, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, beautiful, pure texture and a long, heady finish with subtle oak.” – Robert Parker – 93 points
