Free on Fridays Wine Tasting – Pacific Northwest Wines

Free on Fridays Wine Tasting this Friday, May 13th from 4 to 7 p.m. featuring  a wonderful trio of Pacific Northwest wines!  In case your geography isn’t great, that means Oregon and Washington.  And yes, we will be pouring the 2015 Barnard Griffin Sangiovese Rose, the most awarded dry rose in the United States and our new Case of the Month Selection.  With the warm weather back in town, this is a perfect wine for sipping on spring and summer days.  In addition, we’ll pour you a new Oregon Pinot Gris from Left Coast Cellars (many of you already love their Pinot Noir) and a big, rich Washington state Cabernet Sauvignon from Jerry and Butch Milbrandt.  Trust us, if you like wine, you don’t want to miss the best free wine tasting in Asheville.  Stop by, taste, learn, and save big on all of the featured tasting wines.

All of the featured tasting wines are on sale the day of the tasting: take 10% off if you mix any 3, 15% off if you mix any 6, or 20% off if you mix any 12.

The Wines

1. 2014 Left Coast Cellars “The Orchards” Pinot Gris (Willamette Valley, Oregon) – This family owned and operated winery is exactly the kind we love here at Table Wine.  They own close to 300 acres in the Willamette Valley, and all of those vineyards are farmed in a sustainable and/or organic fashion.  Their Orchards Pinot Gris comes from a vineyard that was formerly home to apple, pear, and cheery orchards.  Today, this site gives us an absolutely delicious and luscious Oregon Pinot Gris.
Tasting Price: $15.29 in mixed 3-packs | $14.44 in mixed six packs | $13.59 in mixed cases

2. 2015 Barnard Griffin Sangiovese Rose (Columbia Valley, Washington) – Ten years in a row, this wine has taken home Gold or better at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and this year’s version was chosen as best in show.  What that basically means is that at the largest wine competition in the United States, this was judged as the best dry rose in the country.  That’s about all we have to say about this one other than that it is absolutely delicious.
Tasting Price: $11.69 on mixed 3-packs | $11.04 on mixed 6-packs | $11.04 on mixed cases
Special Case of the Month Price: $9.99/bottle when you buy a solid case — that’s over 20% off!

3. 2013 Milbrandt Cabernet Sauvignon “Traditions” (Columbia Valley, Washington) – Brothers Jerry and Butch Milbrandt own some prime vineyard lands in Washington’s famed Columbia Valley AVA.  They sell fruit to a number of top name producers (Charles Smith, K Vintners, and others), but they also make their own wines.  Their Cabernet is super generous, friendly, supple, and easy drinking with a nice core of ripe dark fruit framed by toasty oak.  Drink it with a grilled steak or drink it solo by the pool.
Tasting Price: $15.29 in mixed 3-packs | $14.44 in mixed six packs | $13.59 in mixed cases
