Free on Fridays Wine Tasting – New Wine Finds

Join us for a free wine tasting this Friday to sample some New Finds of the New Year!  Friday, January 13th from 4-7pm — free to the public.

A new year is upon us and we’re excited to get it underway with the best free wine tasting in Asheville!  Join us Friday as we pull the corks on some of our newest finds from all parts of the globe.  We’ll start with a brilliant and value price White Burgundy from the southern part of the zone……..seeing no oak, this one is crisp, crunchy, fresh and delicious.  Next up, we’ll pour you a brilliant Beaujolais from the famed Chateau de Pizay estate.  Trust us, this isn’t anything like Beaujolais Nouveau — more concentrated, complex, and powerful, it is a great, value-priced bottle to enjoy with or without food.  To finish, we’ll sample you on a pure, flavor-packed, lightly oaked Malbec from Argentina.  All you have to do is stop by.  Taste, learn, and save big on all of the tasting wines every Friday at Table Wine.  Can’t make it by, but want to place an order?  Just email us at josh@tablewineasheville.com.

Save big on all of the tasting wines!  Mix any 3 of them and save 10%, mix any 6 and save 15%, or mix any 12 and save 20%!

1. 2015 Domaine Jean Touzot Macon-Villages “Vieilles Vignes” (Burgundy, France) – Vieilles Vignes translates to old vines, and this Chardonnay is made with grapes from vineyards that are at least 30 years old.  Fermented in stainless steel, it showcases the pure, unadulterated aromas and flavors of Chardonnay — think green apple, pear, white flowers and mineral.  Yum!
Tasting Price: $13.49 on mixed 3-packs | $12.74 on mixed 6-packs | $11.99 on mixed cases

2. 2014 Chateau de Pizay Beaujolais (Beaujolais, France) – This is one of the oldest and most respected estates in Beaujolais, and their 2014 is in top form.  With a lot of the fruit coming from the village of Morgon (one of the best in the region), this is far more sophisticated and nuanced than most simple Beaujolais.  Dark cherry, raspberry, earth and spice notes permeate this medium bodied, energetic red wine.
Tasting Price: $11.69 on mixed 3-packs | $11.04 on mixed 6-packs | $10.39 on mixed cases

3. 2015 O. Fournier “Urban Uco” Malbec (Mendoza, Argentina) – This large scale, but high quality producer makes wines in Argentina, Chile and Spain from vineyards they own and farm themselves.  Their Malbec comes from their sustainably farmed vineyards in the heart of the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina.  Seeing just 3 months aging in oak barrels really lets the fruit shine in this one — plum, dark berries, spice and light vanilla notes show up in this medium to full bodied, value-priced red.
Tasting Price: $9.89 on mixed 3-packs | $9.34 on mixed 6-packs | $8.79 on mixed cases
