Free on Friday Wine Tasting this Friday, May 27th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.!  Drop by any time between 4 and 7 p.m. this Friday and get your weekend off to a good start with the best free wine tasting in Asheville.  For this week’s tasting, it’s all about Pinot Noir, and this is your chance to sample our new Wine of the Weeks — the new vintage of the Elouan Pinot Noir from Joe Wagner.  After selling Meiomi last year for $365 million, Joe has put all of his energy and sizable funds into Elouan, his new Oregon project.  You will get to sample both of the Elouan wines (Pinot Noir and Rose of Pinot Noir), and we’ll throw a great value Burgundy into the mix as well.  Stop by, taste, learn, and save up to 20% off on all of the tasting wines.

All of the featured tasting wines are on sale the day of the tasting: take 10% off if you mix any 3, 15% off if you mix any 6, or 20% off if you mix any 12.

The Wines

1. 2015 Elouan Rose (Various Regions, Oregon) – Elouan’s dry rose is composed of 100% Pinot Noir grown specifically to make this wine — we’ll explain more at the tasting.  Fermented in stainless steel, it exhibits abundant notes of raspberry, strawberry and citrus fruits followed by gentle spice, mineral and floral notes.  This is a brilliant effort from Joe Wagner and his team at Elouan.
Tasting Price: $17.99 in mixed 3-packs | $16.99 in mixed six packs | $15.99 in mixed cases

2. NV Roncier Rouge Vin de Table  (Burgundy, France) – This “mysterious” red wine requires a little bit of research to unveil what is actually in the bottle.  That’s what we do!  The wine comes from Maison L. Tramier et Fils, a family run winery started in 1842.  Located in the southern part of Burgundy, in and around the village of Mercurey, this wine is not vintage dated, but it is Pinot Noir and a great introduction to earthy Red Burgundy.  At this price, how can you say no?
Tasting Price: $12.59 on mixed 3-packs | $11.89 on mixed 6-packs | $11.19 on mixed cases

3. 2014 Elouan Pinot Noir (Various Regions, Oregon) – It’s our new Wine of the Weeks, it’s an incredible value in delicious Oregon Pinot Noir, and it cann be yours for as low as $15.99/bottle!  Joe Wagner, the man who built and then sold Meiomi for $365 million, has put all of his energy and some of those profits into his new Oregon Pinot Noir project.  It has paid off!  This is a lovely rendition of Oregon Pinot Noir from a great vintage — fuller bodied, flowing iwth silky and ripe red fruit, and possessing notable earthy complexity, you will be hard pressed to find a better Oregon Pinot for the money.
Tasting Price: $17.99 in mixed 3-packs | $16.99 in mixed six packs | $15.99 in mixed cases
Special Wine of the Week Price: $17.99/bottle or $15.99/bottle when you buy a solid 6-pack
