Free Champagne and Sparkling Wine Tasting - Saturday, December 29

Saturday, December 29th from 2-5pm – Just in time for New Year’s Eve, it’s our Annual Free Champagne and Sparkling Wine Tasting. Muriel Edens of the Country Vintner joins us to pour an all-star cast of bubbles.

Make your New Year’s Eve sparkle this year with the perfect bottle(s) of bubbly! Need help? We got you covered as our good friend and bubbly lover Muriel Edens joins us to pour 3 sparkling wines and 3 “real-deal” Champagnes. Just in time for New Year’s eve, this is the perfect opportunity to taste, learn, and save big at Table Wine.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle!

1. NV Graham Beck Brut (Western Cape, South Africa)
This Chardonnay/Pinot Noir, methode Champenoise bubbly from South Africa’s pioneering sparkling wine producer always deliver class and sophistication at a great price.

2. NV Gruet Brut (New Mexico)
One of the best domestic bubbly values out there! The Gruet family is originally from Champagne, where they still own and operate an estate. They’ve put their experience to good use in crafting this full-bodied, toasty, elegant wine.

3. 2016 Caves Naveran Cava Brut Rose (Catalonia, Spain)
Here’s a terrific value in high-class pink bubbly from this small grower/producer. Lovely notes of rose petal, pomegranate, cherry and cranberry inform the nose and palate.

4. NV Champagne Pierre Moncuit Blanc de Blancs Brut Hugues de Coulment (Champagne, France)
Precise, laser focused, Chardonnay-based Champagne from this famed estate in the heart of the Cotes des Blancs. Green apple, flowers, mint, mineral and more.

5. NV Champagne Le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru (Champagne, France)
This high-quality, expertly run cooperative makes some of Champagne’s top values. Their non-vintage, Chardonnay-based wine is rich, yet elegant and intense, yet pleasure-bent.

6. NV Jacquesson Champagne Extra Brut 740 (Champagne, France)
If I had to pick one Champagne to drink the rest of my life, this would be the one. The blend varies from year to year, but it always includes all 3 of the classic Champagne grapes. The resulting wine is complex, finely balanced, and delicious.
