Great California Wine Values

Great California Wine Values

Although they’re hard to find, great California wine values are still out there, and we’re better than anyone else in Asheville at finding them.  Sure, you can always go to the grocery store and pick up a mass produced, name brand wine, and if that floats your boat, keep on keeping on.  But if you want to buy wine(s) from the “small guys,” and we’re referring to the both wineries and retailers, come shop with us.

You can start this Saturday, February 7th as we present you with a terrific trio of California wines that won’t break the bank.  It’s a free wine tasting, and you can stop by any time between 2 and 5 p.m. to taste the wines.  Even better, all of the tasting wines are on sale the day of the tasting at 10% off by the bottle, 15% off if you mix any 6-11 of them, and 20% off if you mix any 12 or more of them together.   Taste, learn, and save every Saturday at Table Wine.

The Wines
Prices range from $11 to $14

1. 2013 Sean Minor Chardonnay (Central Coast) – Sean Minor continues put out wines that completely over-deliver.  His Chardonnay is made with grapes primarily from Santa Barbara County, and it’s classic Central Coast Chardonnay all the way.  With notes of pear, apple, tropical fruits, and a touch of butter and toasty oak, it makes for a great pre-meal aperitif.

2. 2012 Glory Days Zinfandel (Lodi) – Glory Days is the entry level line of wines from Van Ruiten Family Vineyards, one of Lodi’s oldest and most trusted names.  Made with fruit from old, head trained vines, this is classic Lodi Zinfandel packed with rich fruit, spice, and a seamless and supple texture.

3. 2012 Trim Cabernet Sauvignon (North Coast) – A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Merlot, Trim Cabernet has established itself as one of California’s greatest red wine values on the market.  Made by Ray Signorello Jr. of well known, ultra-premium Signorello Estate, this drinks well above its humble price point.  Ripe cherry, black cherry, plum and toasty oak inform the nose and palate of this medium weight, smoothly textured California red.
