Stop by Table Wine in South Asheville this Friday, December 9th any time between 4-7pm to sample a trio of really good California wines. This week’s lineup of wines aren’t just good, they’re crazy good!
California has enjoyed a string of high quality vintages for the past four years. Vintages 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 were all great with warm, dry, and sunny conditions providing ideal conditions for grapes to ripen fully. The resulting wines are some of the best the state has ever produced, and we are going to let you taste exactly what we’re talking about. We’ll start with one of the state’s top 2015 Sauvignon Blancs before we pour you a splash of one of the great Napa Cabernet values of the 2012 vintage. To finish, you’ll get to try the new Pinot Noir from Joe Wagner (Belle Glos, formerly of Meiomi). Yep, we’re pouring this big Pinot after the Cabernet — stop by and you’ll understand why!
Can’t make it by, but want to place an order? Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Save big on all of the tasting wines! Mix any 3 of them and save 10%, mix any 6 and save 15%, or mix any 12 and save 20%!
1. 2015 Smith Story Wine Cellars Sauvignon Blanc (Sonoma County, California) – Alison Smith and Eric Story are the husband and wife team behind Smith Story Wine Cellars, and we firmly believe that they make one of the best Sauvignon Blancs in the state. Zesty, crunchy, and laced with complex mineral notes, this is California Sauvignon Blanc meets Sancerre.
Tasting Price: $17.99 on mixed 3-packs | $16.99 in mixed six packs | $15.99 in mixed cases
2. 2012 Hesperian “Anatomy #1” Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley, California) – Bordeaux-born Phillipe Langner crafts this incredible value Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. His Bordeaux heritage is truly showcased in this classy, balanced, and refined Cab. With medium bodied notes of crisp currant, dark cherry, cigar tobacco, pepper and mint, it honestly reminds us of some of the Napa classics like Montelena, BV, and others.
Tasting Price: $22.49 on mixed 3-packs | $21.24 on mixed 6-packs | $19.99 on mixed cases
3. 2015 Boen Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley, California) – Joe Wagner’s style of Pinot Noir isn’t shy! He was the man behind Meiomi for years, but he sold that brand a couple of years ago for over $300 million! He’s reinvested his profit into a couple of new projects, and Boen is his newest Pinot Noir creation. Rich, fleshy, flashy, and flamboyant, this is Pinot Noir for Cab or Syrah drinkers.
Tasting Price: $24.29 on mixed 3-packs | $22.94 on mixed 6-packs | $19.99 on mixed cases
