The Best Wine Tasting in Asheville - French Summer Sippers

Join us this Friday, August 8th any time between 4 and 7 p.m. to “wine down” your work week and get your week end off to a good start with the best wine tasting in Asheville! This week, we’ll have a delicious batch of fresh and delicious French Summer Sippers for you to try before you buy. Great with or without food, all of the wines we’re pouring this Friday are guaranteed to please. The cost to taste all 5 wines is just $5 or it’s free if you’re a Grape Nut.

We’ll start with what we believe is one of the best white wine values in the world, the 2013 Domaine de la Pepiere Muscadet, a bone-dry, mineral driven white wine filled with fresh lemon and apple notes that will get your mouth watering. After that, the 2013 Domaine Baron Touraine Vieilles Vignes is classic Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc bursting with tangy lime, green apple, quince, mineral and herb notes.

Moving into the reds, the 2012 Vignerons de Buxy Gamay/Pinot Noir, from the southern part of Burgundy, is one of the most charming red wines in the store. With lots of juicy, lively red fruit and a touch of earth, this is the quintessential summer red wine. The 2013 Domaine Dupeuble Beaujolais is equally charming, but a little bit richer and fuller. From very old Gamay vines, it offers up a nicely rounded, invigorating palate of pure berry fruit. And to finish things up, the 2012 Eric Texier Cotes du Rhone is a Team Table Wine Favorite. A blend of Grenache and a few white varietals, this is the lighter, juicier, fresher side of Cotes du Rhone. Served in top notch bistros throughout Paris, it tastes great with or without classic bistro fare. Come on by, taste, learn, and save every Friday at Table Wine.

Tasting wines are 10% off by the bottle, 15% off if you mix six of them, and 20% off if you mix twelve of them!
